The Rules

In Character
1. Posts must be in third person, past tense. If you don't know what that means, then ask the admin.
2. Vampires do not sparkle. It's just wrong. Don't even ask.
3. Post length is not important. Quality over quantity. However, if you make a ridiculously short post, it had better have some damn fine quality.
4. Swearing, violence, and sex can and will happen. Homosexuality and bisexuality will happen. If you don't have an open mind, then see your way right out.
5. BOE takes place in Georgian Era England. Our setting begins in Fall, 1794. We expect at least a basic knowledge of this era. If you have questions, we have a wealth of information, and admin who are more than happy to help.
6. Mature threads are to be played out in the Mature Content Forum. The admin have the password. If you wish to have a thread there, please contact an admin. No one under the age of 16 is allowed use of the mature content forum. Don't ask if you happen to be under 16. You will not be given the password.
7. While the setting of our stage is in London, England, your character (human or vampire) can come from anywhere in the world. Have fun! Use your imagination!
8. Multiple characters are allowed and welcome. Be sure to make a new account for each one.
9. When registering, use your character's name as your username.
10. Our races are humans, vampires, and werewolves. Ghosts and other supernatural beings exist, but are not playable.
11. If your character is a werewolf or vampire, they must keep it hidden. There are people out there who make their living out of killing the supernatural.
12. If you wish to have a residence, please fill out the appropriate form here
13. DO NOT begin roleplaying until your character has been approved and moved to the accepted character folders.

Out of Character
1. Absolutely no OOC drama will be tolerated. You have one warning. If it continues, you will be permanently banned from the site.
2. Be respectful to others, but don't be a kiss ass. No one likes a kiss ass...Well...Ok, I take that back...
3. Don't use chat speak. Even OOC. It drives me crazy. Chat speak will be deleted or ignored. That's just wrong.
4. Please be willing to experience scintillating conversation and delicious plottage. This site was created with the intention of giving intelligent individuals who happen to love vampires a place to gather. Gather, my children!
5. Have fun and get involved!
